Busy But Not Too Busy

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

Wow, I’ve been really busy the last few days. But not too busy to workout. This single income thing has been wearing on me. We have very little debt (thankfully) but with increasing gas prices, food prices and our new financial restrictions it’s been tough. So I’ve spent the last week doing a lot of brainstorming with Bill on how we could make some extra money. Expect to see some Google ads here soon :)

Bill’s been working on his business, Combative Customs but he pretty much needs to reinvest any profits in equipment at this point. He’s been doing remarkably well with it though.

Monday
Turbulence Training For Women, Stage 3, Week 4
TT Warmup
Specific Warmup

DB Split Squat 31.25
DB Low Incline Press 31.25

BB Row 75
Single Leg Ball Curl 8

Intervals - Bodyweight Circuits
Kettlebell Swings - Both Sides 10
Kneeling Pushups 12
Reverse Lunges - Both Sides 12
Bodyweight Rows with Blast Straps - 12
Hip Extensions 12
Mountain Climbers - Both Sides 12

Repeated 3 times. The first round I did jumping jacks in place of the hip extensions, but my shirt kept flying up and I really didn’t enjoy seeing my boobs and belly flapping in the mirror. Note to self…wear more supportive bra when doing impact moves.

Man, I just love these bodyweight circuits! They save me about 5 minutes because it only takes about 15 minutes to get through three circuits. I could add another round, but I’m usually extremely pressed for time. I also feel I get more work done than on a cardio machine. That said, I’m not doing this circuit on the days that I do squats and deadlifts. I think that might kill me.
