Turbulence Training Week 7 Day 3
I have a meeting in 6 minutes, so I’ll keep this short, just like my workout
Walk 3 minutes
TT Warmup
BB Squat 8×45, 8×55, 4×85, 4×75, 2×8x80
Lat pull down 8×50, 8×60
Assisted Chins 3×5x88 lbs assist
DB Split Squat 1×8x30
DB Incline Press 1×8x30
I think I could handle more on the split squats, but my hands can’t hold any more.
Had to cut the workout short due to time constraints.

Hi Tonya,
Just wandered in today for the first time whilst looking for other women’s TT blogs.
Grip strength is definitely the limiting factor in split squats. I max out at 50 lbs on those, and I sometimes have to set the DBs down for a few seconds before I change sides.
Maybe you can try it with a barbell instead?

Thanks for your comments Maggie. I was thinking I might have to use a barbell, but I’d also like to improve my hand strength.
Also, I believe it was thanks to you that I found Turbulence Training. There was a link to your blog from the forums at videofitness.com and you had some free TT downloads. A couple of months later, when I was ready to start going to the gym, I searched and searched the posts at VF until I found the link to your site again. You’re quite an inspiration!
